Shri Sai Samsthana
Terms of Use
Last updated 1 September 2026
This page is kept in English so that nothing in it changes in translation. If English is difficult, write to privacy@saisamsthana.org in your own language — we answer in it.
These are the terms on which Shri Sai Samsthana offers Sai Vani. Using the app means accepting them.
1
This agreement
Sai Vani is provided by Shri Sai Samsthana. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live. An account needs a date of birth of 13 or over, and a devotee between 13 and 18 may use the app only with a parent or guardian’s consent.
2
What the app is, and what it is not
The app is a devotional companion: the Shri Sai Satcharitra to read, aartis to listen to, a place to keep prayers, a journal, seva to log, temples to find, and a software companion to talk to.
The companion is not Sai Baba, does not speak for him, and does not foretell the future. Nothing in the app is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and none of it substitutes for a doctor, a counsellor, a lawyer or an emergency service. If you are in danger, contact a human being immediately — in India, Tele-MANAS on 14416 or KIRAN on 1800-599-0019.
Replies are generated by software and may be wrong, incomplete or unsuited to your situation. Use your own judgement, and the judgement of the people who know you.
3
Your account
One account per mobile number, and the number must be yours.
Keep the device that receives your one-time codes secure. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
Give true information at sign-up, and keep it current.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings.
4
What you write
Your prayers, journal entries, seva logs and messages remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store what you write, show it back to you, show it to the family circle members you deliberately share it with, and send conversation text to the provider named in the Privacy Policy so a reply can be written. We claim no other right over it, and we do not publish it.
You are responsible for what you post into a family circle. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, obscene or deceptive, or anyone else’s private information, and do not add someone to a circle who has not agreed to be there.
A circle’s owner can remove any member, and any member can leave. We may remove content that breaches these terms, and may suspend an account that keeps breaching them. To report something, write to us at the address in section 13 and we will act within 24 hours.
5
Fair use of the app
Please do not try to make the companion produce harmful, hateful or sexual content; impersonate the samsthana, its priests or another devotee; scrape, resell or republish the app’s scripture texts, translations, recordings or artwork; probe, overload or attack the service; or use the app to advertise anything.
6
Sai Free and Sai Plus
Sai Free includes a set number of companion conversations, shown in Settings, and everything else in the app. Sai Plus lifts that limit.
Where Sai Plus is sold as a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, the purchase and its renewal are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms: billing, refunds and cancellation live in your Apple or Google account, and we never see your card details. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Plus runs to the end of the period already paid for. Prices may change, with notice given before any renewal at a new price.
7
The app’s own content
The Satcharitra text, translations, aarti lyrics, recordings, artwork, design and software belong to the samsthana or to those who licensed them to it. You may read, listen and share individual passages for your own devotion and with fellow devotees. Any other copying, redistribution or commercial use needs our written permission.
8
Availability
The app is offered as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of error, and we may change, suspend or retire features. Where we retire something significant, we will say so in the app first.
9
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the samsthana is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, or for decisions you take on the strength of anything the companion says. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10
Ending it
You may stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law, and will say why unless we are prevented from doing so.
11
If you installed from the App Store
This agreement is between you and the samsthana, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to support or maintain the app. If the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim you or a third party makes about the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction — without taking away any protection the law of your own country of residence gives you as a consumer.
